With summer just around the corner and soooo many totally hot bikinis just begging to be shown off, it only makes sense to look and feel your best so you’re ready when that first beach party invite comes around. Well it just so happens I stumbled upon the solution, the most seasonally appropriate way to GET YOUR OWN rockin’ body would of course be to spend a day working out and playing hard on the beach with some of LA’s hottest fitness gurus andVictoria’s Secret supermodel, Marisa Miller.
I checked out some of the classes and I’ll definitely be sweating it out in the Hard Core Sculpt and Ripped Abs and Arms…and the best part is that this play date is wallet friendly. At only $10 a class, how could you not at least stop by?!
Check it out at Shape Online and help achieve your summer goal by the time the temp hits 80 degrees.
What else do you do to get in shape or keep your already stellar bikini bod??
My absolute favorite summertime trend has to be BIKINIS. Ok, so i realize bathing suits are more a necessity than a trend but either way I am obsessed. Confession: I own well over 45, yes FORTY FIVE, bikini sets. Obnoxious? Perhaps a little, but I simply cannot resist how many different styles, colors, patterns, fit, etc. that there are.
Every occasion requires a specific bikini look, which in turn dictates color, pattern, cut & fit, embellishments, and even possibly brand. With that said I give to you my own personal guidelines for selecting event appropriate bathing attire:
- Beach and pool bikinis are (can be) bright and playful and are generally functionable for movement and swimming. Depending on your level of activity these are fun to wear and should make a statement, they express your personality…who you are.

- Boating, water sports, & water park bikinis need to be more durable and secure. i.e. side-tie string bikinis and too teeny triangles top are most likely a no-go. Any color and/or pattern goes because hey, you’re out having fun and your bathing suit should show it! I try to avoid anything that could rub or scratch in the case of a wakeboarding/ tubing incident J
- Spa bikinis can be more risqué because you’re not really moving much; I mean honestly it’s kind of difficult to swim very far in a spa. However, it is generally a good idea to keep hardware and embellishments to a minimum as these don’t hold up so well against the strong chlorine content generally associated with Jacuzzis.
- Vegas bikinis! Enough said. This is where you can really have fun because pretty much annnyything goes. Think loud and obnoxious; sequins, glitter, gold, whatever makes you feel hot!

And of course don’t forget to pair it with an awesome cover up, maybe some Celebrity Pink cut-off shorts…
Sunshine and summertime!!
In light of all things wonderful, sunny, and just plain happy I felt the need to reference all the joyousness of this time of year in one overwhelming post. After all, hints of summer have been making themselves known for the past four 90 degree days, today is Earth Day, and life is good…so why not??!
Although it is technically still spring time the weather of this past weekend begged otherwise and I am in no way complaining about this beachy weather. In fact in honor of Earth Day I believe it is only fitting to spend the day outdoors, and what better place to head than to any scenic water/sand combination. Just remember to beat the heat and stay fashionable in your shady favorites, including the ever popular fedora and some rockin’ aviator sunnies.

Just Lunching at the Delhi
I am going to admit that I did something I never thought I would bring myself to do…I chose Lunch at the Delhi! I know I know but it’s not what you’re thinking. I didn’t get to go to India on a sweet vaca, in all honesty I am actually referring to the color of my pedicure 🙂 I have always been adamantly against the color coral (in any shade) and especially in the form of nail polish. However, as I perused my color options at my favorite mani/pedi spot, Nailtique in Newport, a color caught my eye and proceeded to hold my attention. OPIhappens to be my favorite nail polish brand, solely for their clever names, and on this particular visit Lunch at the Delhi stole my heart.
My obsession with the names of nail polish colors is somewhat ridiculous I do realize, but I confess I have been known to select a color largely based on the name and secondarily influenced by the actual shade. In honor of impending warmer weather I decided on this awkwardly orange/pink coral combo, and oddly enough it made summer seem just a little closer.
What name does your favorite nail polish go by??? Or even better, if you could name a name polish what would you call it??
Let’s just say for the sake of sounding relatively sane that I have recently become somewhat enamored, well actually OBSESSED would be more accurate, with weddings! No, not because I myself am engaged but because my lil baby brother has tied the knot and is now planning the traditionally elaborate “big day” with his beautiful bride. So expect much wedding talk in the coming months…everything from the most prominent decision; the dress, to the less important yet equally as exciting details including location, decor, bridesmaids, shoes, bow ties & cumber-buns, and …the cake!
Today, in light of Spring time and all things flowing and fairy-like I give to you the first wedding dress personal favorite of my own, beginning with…
Mr. & Mrs.
The new Mrs. looking simply heavenly in her vintage Betsey Johnson crochet dress. It matches the scene just so well and actually makes you want to be apart of the moment.
Oh to be in love….
So I have decided to let you in on a little secret…you know how nearly eeevvverrry website and/or store has a contest or sweepstakes you can enter to win??! And you know how you think to yourself “who would ever enter? I mean honestly what are the chances that I could win??” Well, I used to be one of the those people, and then one day I starting thinking why not me?? Which ultimatley brings me to my confession that yes,I do enter each and every contest, sweepstake, and even survey I come across! Maybe I just like filling in my personal information on those little forms, or maybe its that anticipation that one day I might actually win something! Until that day…I will faithfully continue to enter every marketing ploy I can find…
So since it’s Friday and clearly I am spending way too much time on-line…I am sharing with you my favorite contest find of the day, enter at Forever21 for your very own one-of-a-kind:
Hurray for Forever!!
